Pilot Information

Eighty years ago, on 5 May 1930, a young lady pilot left Croydon Airport early in the morning and 19 days later landed at Darwin, Australia. The aeroplane was a green and silver DH.60G Moth, G-AAAH, 'Jason'.

The pilot's name was Amy Johnson.

The world has never forgotten her or her achievement which has been compared with putting a man on the moon.
